You've seen them all over social media and I can't help myself: I'm jumping on the bandwagon and offering a twist: Here are your official 2024 wedding music trends and my top 3 tips for choosing your wedding music.
IN
Choosing ceremony songs that reflects who you are as a couple
Welcoming guests with love songs from across the ages
Curated cocktail hour music that ALL of your guests will actually enjoy
Choosing the song you truly love even if it’s “overdone” (I’m looking at you Pachelbel’s Canon - If you love it, you can have it!)
Getting to know your musicians ahead of time (Meet our team here)
Making new traditions. Want a groom’s party processional? You’ve got it.
Live music serenading you for your first dance
OUT
Choosing ceremony songs that don’t authentically speak to you because they’re “traditional” or meaningful to someone else
Scrambling to choose music at the last minute
Separate songs for every person walking down the aisle (It's like being pulled in too many different directions)
Second-guessing yourself: You know what music you love!
Music during your vows (We don't want anything obscuring your personalized vows!)
Following traditions that don’t make sense for you, your family, and your wedding
Musical interludes between readings (There's just never enough time)
Ariana's Advice
1.Put your phone on shuffle and when a favorite song comes up, add it to a wedding playlist. When it’s time to plan, return to the playlist and see where those songs could fit in on your wedding day.
2. Looking for a new song? Just listen to it and FEEL. If it makes your eyes well up with tears or brings you joy, then that’s the one. If it doesn’t speak to you, that’s okay! Don’t overthink it.
3. Stuck between songs for your walk down the aisle? Include them in other parts of your wedding. Your whole wedding should feel like a dream.
