Dearest Gentle Reader,

Since Bridgerton premiered in 2020, my brides and grooms have been reaching out to me all with the big question: "Can you play Bridgerton music for my wedding?"

Yes, yes, and absolutely yes! That's exactly what we do!

Meet Your Wedding Musicians

Hi, I'm Ariana, lead violinist and founder of Ariana Strings. As Connecticut wedding musicians who have performed for over 650 weddings and special events over the last 15 years, we've been performing modern pop string covers since before Bridgerton ever existed. I'd like to think of us as on trend.

Before you read on, click play to have our classical cover of Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift to accompany our deep dive into Bridgerton wedding music. It’s from the time the British Consulate commissioned us to create a bespoke string orchestra for the actual Queen of England - It doesn’t get more Bridgerton than that! Today, I'll be covering which songs are in Bridgerton, how you can incorporate Bridgerton into your wedding music, common pitfalls, and showcasing inspiration from our incredible Bridgerton-themed styled wedding shoot, featuring Allure Bridals’ brand new Bridgerton bridal collection.

What made Bridgerton so exciting and unique was the soundtrack. It was all performed by real, professional classical musicians, mostly Vitamin String Quartet - an LA-based company that does arrangements of all modern pop hits. But they've featured a few other wonderful groups on the show as well.

Not only do the Ariana Strings musicians specialize in performing modern pop string songs, it's our favorite thing to do. We have a huge library filled with everything you can imagine. Are you looking for Bridgerton music for your wedding? We've got you covered.

Which Of Your Wedding Ensembles Play Bridgerton Music?

All of our ensembles have a variety of pop string covers, but if you're specifically looking for that Bridgerton sound, you'll want our string quartet or even string orchestra. It's the fullest sound and will be the most like those pop string arrangements you know and love.

Our smaller groups have something up their sleeve too, so if a violin duet or string trio is more your style, we've got you covered. Check out each of the custom song libraries here.

Right now, we've added your most requested to our 2000+ song string quartet library. Want more? Email Ariana with your request. We'll make it happen.

A Note On TV Soundtracks

Though the Bridgerton soundtrack is often performed by string quartet, NOT ALL OF the songs featured in Bridgerton are played by string quartet. In fact, they’re beautifully edited in-studio and feature layerings of many, many instruments. (Max Richter’s Spring Recomposed is one of our number one requests and it’s actually written for 18 instruments!)

Check Out My Cover Of "Strange" By Celeste

Fun fact: It looks like I'm accompanied by only 3 violins, but I'm actually accompanied by 6 instruments: 3 violins and 3 violas. This was a passion project during lockdown that I hope you enjoy!

The Ariana Strings Music Library

Every single song in our music library is arranged and tailored especially for our strings. That means you're getting a beautiful instrumental cover that truly compliments the original song and artist no matter which of our ensembles you choose. In our library, you can find:

Jazz standards and popular hits from 1930- 1950

La Vie En Rose, Fly Me to the Moon, Call Me Irresponsible, Bewitched

Disney favorites from across the ages

A Whole New World from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Love is an Open Door from Frozen

60s pop

At Last, Chapel of Love, Be My Baby by The Ronettes

Disco

How Deep is Your Love by The Bee Gees, Dancing Queen by ABBA

Classic rock from the 1960s - 1970s

The Beatles, The Beach Boys

Funk & Soul

Stevie Wonder, Ben E. King

80s rock

Sweet Child O Mine, Don't Stop Believing

Broadway & Musical favorites

A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, West Side Story

90s pop

Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Madonna

2000s

Uptown Funk, All About that Bass, Marry You, A Thousand Years

Movie and TV Music

Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones

We love learning new music and expanding our repertoire, so we receive up about 100 requests per season. Our library is always growing so fast that our website can't keep up! As professional musicians, we perform world-class symphonic and chamber music that is incredibly difficult and takes a lot of practice. (Have you ever played Mahler? That stuff is tricky!) So, when couples ask if we can learn a pop song, it's no trouble at all!

If you’re getting married in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or New York, contact us today about how to incorporate Bridgerton music into your wedding. Below, enjoy these exclusive galleries from our Bridgerton themeed stylized shoot for Allure Bridals.

Until next time,

Lady Ariana Stringington

  • Choosing ceremony songs that reflects who you are as a couple

  • Welcoming guests with love songs from across the ages

  • Curated cocktail hour music that ALL of your guests will actually enjoy

  • Choosing the song you truly love even if it’s “overdone” (I’m looking at you Pachelbel’s Canon - If you love it, you can have it!)

  • Getting to know your musicians ahead of time (Meet our team here)

  • Making new traditions. Want a groom’s party processional? You’ve got it.

  • Live music serenading you for your first dance

OUT

  • Choosing ceremony songs that don’t authentically speak to you because they’re “traditional” or meaningful to someone else

  • Scrambling to choose music at the last minute

  • Separate songs for every person walking down the aisle (It's like being pulled in too many different directions)

  • Second-guessing yourself: You know what music you love!

  • Music during your vows (We don't want anything obscuring your personalized vows!)

  • Following traditions that don’t make sense for you, your family, and your wedding

  • Musical interludes between readings (There's just never enough time)

Ariana's Advice

1.Put your phone on shuffle and when a favorite song comes up, add it to a wedding playlist. When it’s time to plan, return to the playlist and see where those songs could fit in on your wedding day.

2. Looking for a new song? Just listen to it and FEEL. If it makes your eyes well up with tears or brings you joy, then that’s the one. If it doesn’t speak to you, that’s okay! Don’t overthink it.

3. Stuck between songs for your walk down the aisle? Include them in other parts of your wedding. Your whole wedding should feel like a dream.

Brides and grooms are always asking me, "What should I pick for my recessional? What are other couples choosing?" I'm happy to help!

First of all, what's a recessional?

Simply put, it's the song that's played as you walk back up the aisle. It's often upbeat, to go hand-in-hand

with the celebratory feeling of the moment. Traditionally, you'd hear classical wedding pieces like Mendelssohn's Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream or Handel's Entrance of the Queen of Sheba, but these days our couples are mixing it up and including modern pop favorites.

Without further ado, here are the most popular recessionals from 2022, the last 5 years, and 20 amazing songs that you haven't thought of yet!

The 4 Most Popular Recessionals in 2022

  1. Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

  2. You Are The Best Thing - Ray LaMontagne

  3. All You Need is Love - The Beatles

  4. This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) - Natalie Cole
